Koh Rong Sanloem (Rong Sanloem Island) is the most well-known island of Sihanouk Ville,which has lots
of insects, is an exciting destination for nature lovers and wildlife spotters, and an excellent choice for
a relaxed weekend, too. Among the best beaches in Sihanouk Ville, there are three lovely yellow sandy
beaches shaded by pine trees that make for excellent snorkeling on the island and its coral reefs.
If you are feeling adventurous and would like to do a bit of wildlife-spotting, the best choice is the Rong
Sanloem Island. It takes Jess than an hour to get to one of the three yellow sandy beaches surrounded by
pine trees; from there, we can trek into the jungle where you can view more than 100 species of birds as
well as some other interesting types of wildlife such as the carnivorous pitcher plant. Snorkelers will also
get their fill, and can see giant mussels that are not found at the other islands.
